MLCA Committee List
The following are the committees that help MLCA function efficiently, serve its members, and advance its objectives. The description following each committee is intended to suggest the general scope of responsibilities.
If you are willing to help in any of these areas, or know a neighbor who might, please contact a member of the Board. MLCA needs to capitalize on the strengths of its members to be effective.
Communications — , Chair
This committee will be responsible for coordinating all communications between the board and the members as well as member to member communications. The committee will keep an up to date data base of all members which will be constantly coordinated with the Membership Committee's roster. The data base will be confidential in order to protect member's privacy.
Legislative — , Chair
Remain current on legislative action and initiatives that impact members. This committee will focus on local (Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens Counties), state, and federal legislation. This committee may need to establish relationships with local, state, and federal government and non-government entities in order to remain current on activities and proposed actions impacting members.
Membership —
Maintain a roster of current members and seek to recruit new members.
