From a small beginning, MLCA continues to grow and is now registered with the SC Secretary of State, has a Board of Directors, by-laws, subcommittees and is working on a number of issues that directly effect homeowners in the upstate. We are also active members of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) where we participate in the SCLAC (South Carolina Legislative Action Committee). As such we are able to directly participate in the activities that result in the passage of legislation effecting our member associations.

Annual general membership meetings feature excellent speakers. Please check this website for scheduling updates.

All members of the Board and officers are volunteers and receive no compensation. However, there are costs (insurance, state and tax filings, travel, speaker fees, etc.) associated with operating MLCA. To defer those costs our members are required to pay an annual membership fee based on thefollowing schedule:

  • Established neighborhood associations with over 75 lots: $100
  • Established neighborhood associations with 25 to 74 lots: $50
  • Established neighborhood associations with less that 25 lots: $25
  • Individuals or Families: $10
